The Festival is pleased to announce that Ben Featherston, one of Fort Erie’s own will be attending July 14 – 16

Born in Fort Erie, Ben studied illustration at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Now an Arts educator, Ben draws inspiration from both nature and pop culture to create oil and acrylic paintings. He is best known locally for his large scale murals and set design.

In 2016 Ben created the Friendship Festivals 30th anniversary mural.

Enbridge, an Ontario energy company will be joining us at the Festival. They will be promoting the Ontario Green Energy Initiative that Enbridge is offering to Ontario Homeowners. The program is basically a financial incentive to homeowners that wish to increase their energy efficiency and decrease carbon emissions in their homes. They will be facilitating surveys on iPads to see who qualifies for the program and providing information.

Crime Stoppers of Niagara is a community run program involving a partnership of law enforcement, the media and the community working together to help solve crime. It is a registered charity run by volunteers from the community. Crime Stoppers’ guarantee of anonymity, promise not to be a witness in court, and offer of a reward for information that helps to solve a crime has been proven to be effective.

They will be providing information on who they are, and what they do, along with information on how to become a valued volunteer of Crime Stoppers of Niagara.

Those who stop by will be given a chance to play a game of Plinko and win a prize!

Their Lake Erie Alive initiative team will be joining us at the Festival. They will be sharing information about the algae problem in Lake Erie. The Freshwater Alliance also invites the community to stop by and share their stories about Lake Erie.

The MS Society of Canada’s mission is to be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life. We want to bring awareness to the services provided by the MS Society in the Niagara Region, as well as our upcoming events.
